When I first saw this I thought, “Say! Ellen Page looks fab in this picture!” Then I read the caption and thought, “Say! Linda Cardellini looks fab in this picture!”

At this exact moment during the Bones episode on Thursday I just wanted the world to stop and for David Boreanaz to make love to the Deschanel sisters.  Or maybe watch them make love.  That’s right, I went there.

You’re a little dirty dirty.

Female hysteria was a once-common medical diagnosis, made exclusively in women, which is today no longer recognized by modern medical authorities as a medical disorder. Its diagnosis and treatment were routine for many hundreds of years in Western Europe. Hysteria was widely discussed in the medical literature of the Victorian era. Women considered to be suffering from it exhibited a wide array of symptoms including faintness, nervousness, insomnia, fluid retention, heaviness in abdomen, muscle spasm, shortness of breath, irritability, loss of appetite for food or sex, and “a tendency to cause trouble”.[1]
Since ancient times women considered to be suffering from hysteria would sometimes undergo “pelvic massage” — manual stimulation of the genitals by the doctor until the patient experienced “hysterical paroxysm” (orgasm).

‘The Red shoes’ starring Moira Shearer
… but the Red Shoes are not tired. In fact, the Red Shoes are never tired.  They dance her out into the street, they dance her over the mountains and valleys, through fields and forests, through night and day.  Time rushes by, love rushes by, life rushes by, but the Red Shoes go on.

Joni Mitchell - River

It’s coming on Christmas
They’re cutting down trees
They’re putting up reindeer
And singing songs of joy and peace
Oh I wish I had a river
I could skate away on

“ The most unfair thing about life is the way it ends. I mean, life is tough. It takes up a lot of your time. What do you get at the end of it? A Death! What’s that, a bonus? I think the life cycle is all backwards. You should die first, get it out of the way. Then you live in an old age home. You get kicked out when you’re too young, you get a gold watch, you go to work. You work forty years until you’re young enough to enjoy your retirement. You do drugs, alcohol, you party, you get ready for high school. You go to grade school, you become a kid, you play, you have no responsibilities, you become a little baby, you go back into the womb, you spend your last nine months floating …and you finish off as an orgasm. „

Press Conference with the cast & director of King Kong, September 2nd 2004
suicideblonde & I watched the extended edition of King Kong last week, along with all the extras. As fellow Peter Jackson lovers know, watching an EE is an event. One that fills you with love for PJ, his cast, his film, his special effects crew, his vision, his heart, his home, and all the fun little tidbits in between.
I was overwhelmed by the King Kong facts and stories we were treated to, so much so that I can’t even really form the words to talk about them just yet. Adding to that, I’m also a gigantic Naomi Watts fan and have thousands of pictures of her from this time in her life. I’m excited to share a lot of it, but I also don’t know where to start. So how about I start with this adorable shot of Naomi & Peter with Adrien Brody & Jack Black posing together in front of The Venture during a press conference to announce filming of the movie.
There! It’s begun.
