Kate Winslet - Oscars, March 23rd 1998 Look at sweet young Kate! Kate was nominated this year for her role in Titanic, already her 2nd Oscar nomination! Years later & I’m only just discovering that apparently this Givenchy by Alexander McQueen gown that has made me so happy for the past 13 years was not celebrated & made an appearance on many a-worst dressed list. It’s cemented in my brain as an important part of Oscar history though because Kate is so curvy, so fantastically busty, so ethereal with her green & gold gown & romantic red curls. I am forever smitten.
