I haven’t given a lot of thought to what I want to do before I die. I think I need a bucket list. BUCKETS! There are things I’d like to do, but nothing I necessarily feel I need to do. Is that bad? I don’t know. I’ll ponder it during a quiet time.
I believe we leave impressions. I believe we imprint on the people we know & that living on through stories & lessons & love give us a sort of afterlife. I know that when I almost lost Momma a few weeks ago, I was sure that a part of her would live on through me because she spiritually pressed her essence into me by being a person that I admire & adore. I knew that if she had died though, that part of her would have been gone forever. I don’t believe in a soul as being a whole concept, attached to a whole body. The parts of us that think & feel are body parts, and when they die, all that’s left is what we said & did, the impressions we made. I think a lot of us is gone once we’re gone, but I believe that we individually put something into the atmosphere that stays even after our bodies go.
