What a beautiful picture.
I went to a parochial school and took a religion class titled “Cults & World Religions”. The class basically consisted of the teacher spending a half hour making fun of faiths that weren’t his own. One day he attempted to make us all laugh at the chant that’s featured in George Harrison’s song “My Sweet Lord” that goes;
Hare Krishna/Hare Krishna/Krishna Krishna/Hare Hare/Hare Rama/Hare Rama
I remember being hurt, because the song always brought me peace and made me feel protected and safe. Suddenly part of it was something to laugh at, and be so scared of that you can’t even take it seriously.  What a horrible lesson to teach a child.
