I didn’t even know who Marion Cotillard was when she won her Oscar, but she put herself on my lady map by being sweetly joyous when accepting her award & rocking this Jean Paul Gaultier mermaid gown like the fashion diva that she is.

This remains my favourite Oscar moment of the past decade. I love when she says Russell Crowe told her not to cry, I love when she turns around, so beautifully overwhelmed, & shows us her elegant neck, her speech was so lovely, sweet & sincere & her win so very well deserved. Perfect. And even more perfect, Nicole draped in that sheer rich black Gaultier gown. Winning awards & looking like a fierce fashion warrior while doing so, that’s my girl!
